Meredith Bishop

Meredith joined Flatlands Insurance Group in January 2023 as an Account Manager in the Crop Division. She graduated from NC State University with a B.S. in Agricultural Business Management and East Carolina University with her MBA. Outside of work, she likes to spend time with family and friends. She currently lives in Bath with her husband, Reg.

How I Got Here:

Agriculture has been at the center of my livelihood since the day I was born. Being raised on a family farm in Eastern North Carolina sparked my passion, taught me the value of hard work, and has given me a sense of community that only agriculture could do. Developing a love for ag led me to pursue a degree in agricultural business management at North Carolina State University. Agriculture is such a key sector of our community and I feel incredibly blessed to work alongside the people that help provide for the rest of the world, which includes my own family and my husband. Thomas Jefferson said it best, “Agriculture is our wisest pursuit, because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals, & happiness.
