Alexis Knotts

Alexis joined the Flatlands Insurance Group in the Crop Division in December 2021. Alexis graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Animal Science. She is licensed in Property & Casualty. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, Brant and 2 kids, Wyatt and MillieCay. They have a family farm and raise Miniature Hereford cattle, French and English Bulldogs. They also enjoy time at the beach on the boat, fishing and hunting.

How I Got Here:

Agriculture has been a huge part of my life since I was a little girl. Our family has always been heavily involved within the livestock industry whether that was showing horses, goats, and sheep, participating in livestock judging, or simply mentoring others within the industry. Being surrounded by all things livestock at such a young age, it sparked a love in me for the industry which later inspired me to pursue an animal science degree at North Carolina State University. Upon the completion of my degree, I continued to work in the agriculture industry holding different production livestock positions, and now work in crop insurance. It is important to me to have my kids involved in this industry in any way possible. Whether it is in the barn, or on the tractor, we always try to keep them involved by offering hands-on learning opportunities. This industry teaches people the value of hard work and responsibility, and I want to teach my children those things early in life so that they can contribute to society, and to the industry that provides so many things necessary for our daily lives.
